Day-DDW

On June 28 I attended the Weblogs Day at the University of Palermo. It was a day of learning and games. Carolina Gruffat introduced me to Guillermo Lutzky, project manager virtual ORT. Spoke-and hopefully not last, with Juan Carlos Lucas , a professor at UCA and is responsible for INNOVA Consulting.

Finally, After reading us for months, we met personally with Paul Bongiovanni , Professor of Science Education at the Catholic University of Santa Fe (photo ).

many things to say about the DDW. And that I could not stay for the last two talks. I watched a lot, thought a lot about these bloggers who just know and do not total more than 10 in my RSS subscriptions in the midst of hundreds in English.

I took my notes in the style 0.0: Paper!
Here are some impressions of not more than 140 characters for prayer (the twitterers know why). Better presentation

Serendipity

To understand, you have to be there. We must create a user account-several, in fact-and experience. Then we have things like this.

My mail -6 February 2007

Adolfo:

I had an experience very 2.0 today, to call somehow. reading my blog statistics this morning, I someone entered del.icio.us . There discover that someone saved my FCE blog a few hours ago. Users click on " context, one click more and I'm in your blog.

The interesting thing is that yesterday I wondered if I should focus my dissertation on the degree to use blogs in the classroom. I believe that your work will help me think. a first look at your blog I see that there are discussions, not only produced the typical greeting of friends. [...]

So she told Adolfo Estalella how I came to your blog ConTexto . The blog, which has one of the sidebars more orderly and clear that I have seen: quickly presented to the author, or rather, you receive in your virtual home.

M and interested in the field of cyberculture , social and cultural dimension of technology. Developing my thesis addresses from an ethnographic methodology the study of blogs . I am interested in blogging from the perspective of technology identity, its function as devices for personal fulfillment, for the construction of our identities. [more about my research ]

felt I had to write. Both common theme. Much chance / causality to meet. I received this response to the public with permission from Adolfo:

Hi Claudia. Yes it is strange what has happened. And as you describe, even more curious. I was shocked as I wrote about this in the blog ( http://estalella.wordpress.com / 2007/02/07/estadisticas-para -know-to-others / ). And the truth is that with email you have ahead of me, because I thought to write. [...]

More surprises in the post:
Imagine that you are keeping links to blogs on a specific thematic or other similar service delicious bookmarks. [...] Suddenly, the trace that we had left alone (a link) inadvertently connects us with the author / author of this blog. If he / she is from our delicious to our blog, then ... then there is a first opportunity to create a link. Unwittingly, the activity of a third party (who has clicked on our link delicious) and the statistical system (Showing the path) connecting two people who previously ignored each other. Well, we hypothesized that actually happened to me yesterday. And I guess that is the daily bread. But the author of the blog that I kept in my delicious contándomelo wrote me and for me was a kind of 'technological epiphany' .

Epiphany "technology?
can be. RAE exist in the dictionary, but perhaps necessary, comes to mind the word serendipity . We read in the Wikipedia:
A serendipity is a lucky and unexpected scientific discovery that has been done accidentally.

The term comes from English serendipity. The Collins Cobuild Dictionary defines it beyond the scientific context as a "natural talent that some people have to find interesting or valuable things by chance."

This is a very common phenomenon among bloggers. Search beyond the university, the blogger also share search results and thus works with the chance to attend other searches.

phenomena that would be linked through their meaning-in the case of blogs, content. A blogger is concerned with simple mechanisms to facilitate playing in all its artifacts online: a profile, mail, reading lists, quick access to the most representative posts. A place where visitors can comment on the language you think and feel welcome. After all, this is to create a hyperlink to continue talking, right?

A blogger is a person open to the surprise of these hazards delicious. In this case, moreover, it was a random StatCounter aided and gentleman behind the T-shirt. His name is Joshua Schachter and is the creator of del.icio.us. Adolfo

ask me how I was given for starting to write in English ...

blog no rock on!

Well as you know many do not enter the media class on Thursday (like sonic do know that you are well-Nerd), well I did not enter by force majeure (no, not weba ... seriously), well the joke is that the old communication let us watch a movie called Hotel Rwanda, a great movie to my liking and there are few movies that I like, good juju, here is my pseudo little sense opinion as I write:
often think of our own situation in our own misfortunes and we seem impossible to solve ... that represent the end of the world, however, we forget that there are people elsewhere who is worse, in a situation where it really all that we would be nothing compared to the odyssey these people live. Personally, I accept it, knew of the conflicts that arose in Africa, but that's just, paid no attention, this film helped me to open more eyes and realize how this world and the injustices that every day are victims of people around the world.

There are so eager for power, money and so eager to control by all, but especially the "superpowers" that when faced with problems that affect them, just look the other way, knowing that they resolve not will represent any political or economic benefit, including organizations that you think you are to protect life and people as the United Nations, where there are conflicts in these third world countries do not maximize their work, but in one way or another support marginalized and do not have a firm and definite about the problem, and most serious conflict yet ... see happen and not intervene as they should do so.
situations Knowing how are you you feel so, so helpless and wondered .. if countries with money and aid agencies do not provide international protection and assistance to countries in conflict ... then ... what else is left? Posted by Picasa impotence you feel that it seems impossible that this happen and make it look so different.
I hope you were not bored, the movie is good Check it out well know that what I say. ------------------------------------------- Sky High (Long edit)-FreeTempo.

Mys. Gepilar Montenegro

A coexistence of the different cycles of the vegetation in the same court may reveal who has the right look, the complexity of the whole in which, in each of its moments all aspects of his being present at once, and only mistakenly conceived as a succession.

Juan Jose Saer, The river without banks .

Leaving aside the inevitable innate constraints, the mere fact of being classified as a human being, homo sapiens , king of creation, or be rational thinking, we go around and lurk behind every statement, many Sometimes, more for convenience than accuracy, claim to have fully understood the meaning of some things.

Note the vagueness of the terms 'understand' and, more puzzling still, the 'things', but, as in the basis of all philosophy, religion or science, if we want to to understand something we must accept some basic assumptions. I venture to assume that the reader understands, as it were so, the meaning of the terms and dispenses with any clarification that, incidentally, I would be very difficult to pronounce. At the end of the day, as they say those who know: the communication does not exist, it is a pure misunderstanding (*).

It is precisely at the root of this misunderstanding that we operate, interact, negotiate, and, to the relief of many, we understand. Man lives perceptions and not the power that the gods gave to rationalize the complexity of the world around him. Because we agree, that both the cold indifference, as the pressure of hunger, the heat of passion or fear of death that permeates hospitals can cloud the most lucid and brilliant minds.

Empirically, we embrace the universe. A kind of vanity necessary to cope with the impossibility of grasping reality, so vague and broad, indeed. And then we give the bathroom thinking that gray matter segments, classifies, sorts and, finally, he says, to satisfy the endless desire to understand. Then the cry of Eureka is a need to write about the discovery. The role assists the senses at the same time confused. The nature of the writing is linear, this is its limitation: a sequence of characters that seek to unravel, word for word, the hologram of reality.

played forward, to translate, interpret and, ultimately, to betray the complexity of the world with our limited toys: words. Through a writing exercise of translation aims to decode the world of a work of popular science article or case studies, we witnessed the creation, healthy appearance of objectivity, of a world of seductive but dubious certainties. rehearsed the work of the omniscient creator who knows everything and permeates every corner of the maze of the mind. What is unique or appealing the way we hide the complexity or completely unattainable described. Because universe, literary or not, while overlapping set of relativities rather than successive, as the power that went into operation, it is plural nature and resists translation.

(*) Based on the idea of \u200b\u200ba transmitter that encodes and decodes a receiver, communication is an approach and sharing of meanings. Lacan, following the structure of Saussure's linguistic sign, called "sense" of the meaning, refers to experiences, the individual's history-conscious or not, which gives the only significant connotation. Therefore, the communication as such does not exist.

............................

This text I wrote in 2003 inspired by some discussion in a chair in translation. At that time, I could mention that the text is linear and limited. As he did not write blogs, saw in the text editor to read digital paper from beginning to end, without disruption of hyperlinks. After seeing The Machine is Us ... The Machine is Us / ing Us , the phrase "text-linear" writing makes this a bit obsolete.

Moreover, blogs come to perpetuate conference offered many representations of reality as bloggers. This scenario only complicates things further phenomenon of communication and translation. And that is why this text seems much more valid today than in 2003.

Reality and Representation Blog in blog

beautiful things happen when you decide to write. You go from blog to blog conversation, recounting experiences that belie the direction of thought. So between the lines, which can not be edited-has interesting things to say to someone. One does not propose, but the reader is formed ideas beyond the original intent of the message. Reading has a lot of translation and parallel text creation.

Today I met Gruffat Carolina. I had followed some of his posts in Educ.ar. Carolina read the note The Power to Create Content which account the experience with my blog for students, The FCE Blog, and wanted to interview me for her thesis on the career of communication. Strangely, I thought. Who may be interested in talking about new technologies a thesis? To me, of course. And wanted to meet Carolina.

spent the evening in a beautiful coffee Plaza San Martín in Buenos Aires and talk about everything. Some topics:

  • the blogosphere in Argentina, in particular, education
  • resistance that many teachers experience when faced with disruptive technologies innovation
  • the paradox that students specialized courses in new technologies have a
blog First Impressions
always revealing to know what others see in your blog. Obviously, my projects seem more sophisticated than they really are. It gives me little of grace so that the blog helps to build an image expert. The amount of artifacts out complex research suggests. Behind every great work, there is a simple idea. Everything else is just. Questions
recurrent

already heard them before, but always amaze me. In fact, the only thing that's odd is that I was not occurring. Questions like:
- Now I added a wiki, am I going to leave the blog? seems that the two things at once broken with an expectation: the illusion that the Internet can have a single URL with all centralized.
- you ever took a course to learn these things?
In my blogs is much display of technical skill, many widgets and testing new tools. If you drive something outside your specific area, someone should have taught him, right?

Apart from the time it takes to produce original content, learn a little html to communicate was much easier to do than trying to explain. Learning

Carolina with questions helped me to rethink a key point for me. The journey since I opened the first blog until I got in touch with other teachers bloggers went so fast, and lacking self obstacles I can not speak for the adoption of design ideas new. 2.0 technologies gave me a vehicle to express ideas I already had. What I needed was a learning and dialogue to develop.

That space opened in a web of short trips scheduled blog comments in blog without focusing too much reading to none. Coleccionanado always parallel texts to other readings or interpretations of the same subject. And finally, the reflection captured in a personal learning environment. To start a cycle.

What a pleasure to talk about blogs and wikis for hours with someone who understands that the Internet is not simply people who are contacted through the contents. And all the time talking about this as if our meeting it was another thing, and not a living example of the ideas we hold in the recorder.

enthusiasm for conversation going naturally from one topic to another, losing all track of time. Was only interrupted by the waiter, who graciously apologized because he had to close. Ah ... These disruptive boys!
