"Blog or Forum? Weblogs

The paradigm shift from participation to the conversation

reflections De views Comment
has to do with tolerance of difference. All opinions are respected. Whether we agree or not. Reflecting, I think, is something else. You can do good or evil. You can fall into fallacies, flaws of thought.

To switch the view to reflect, you have to talk with others and let the quiet ego. Must have a healthy ego that is not desperate for approval. Then you can listen and not feel threatened by difference. Let that thought the other in playing a role in their own. In this dialogic is where we can go further. The best knowledge is distilled in conversations and meetings of opposites.
What

is a blog? Is it like a forum?
When things appear new and disruptive, the mind tends to resist. Cuesta mentally embrace a concept that did not exist. It appears that you have to make room, if not, does not nest. Then, start analogies. Because the mind in his laziness is hesitant to admit that the weblogs this is something different. It should look like something else.

For those who never experienced it a blog, is scared of resemblance to the forums. If the moderator does a good job of caring for everyone, the forum can become bitter and even aggressive.

Comment Moderation
I started blogging in English and only this year I look the English blogosphere. I wonder why so much history with something as natural as moderate comments.

A Paul Mancini asked about this subject and write a post up to this question:

"How can you not limit freedom of expression of the commentators but not publish things that offend others? "
Paul responds as a blogger

"I do not know.'ll Tell you what I do. My experience."

I thought the big issue here is that freedom of expression is not involved in the blog. And respect for others it is simply indisputable.

( Note: I rushed to comment before anyone confuse this pearl of a forum post!)

is very interesting that point of freedom of expression associated with the blogs , in particular, to comment moderation.

I think there's a cultural issue behind it. Anglo-Saxon in the blogosphere no one thinks confuse a blog with a forum. Or think anyone will believe that a 'censorship' to moderate comments. Or that the blogger is a 'facilitator' in post conference.

Why should I be frowned upon to say no. I do not smoke. I do not mind people smoke. In my house? Oh no, please. My blog is my home, my thinking, at least. In my blog I am giving miopinión. Comment not apologize for thinking or dissent!

The role of the blogger is talking, do not guarantee freedom of expression employed. And watch the confusion of thinking that freedom is something that we 'give'. There is, period. Of course you have to realize.

Strongly agree not to post an anonymous or spam. Although soil publish all, I do not seem wrong not to publish comments that contribute nothing to the conversation started in the post. Out of respect and care for those who came to read for the title in RSS.

historical balance in Argentina is a sad story of censorship. I always heard that the lost generation. That which did not disappear for thought. Still consumes too much power in the fight for spaces of participation. Talk and more difficult.

should be regaining the ability to leave one to embrace an idea. Even if just to see how far we can go with the thought. Put you in touch with others. Then we can review. And change.

Why a blog?
Scenario blog, rather than final conclusions, it is for the process ... I apologize for using the term "process" but I assure you that in English the word has no negative connotation whatsoever. Refers to this wonderful post thoughts and partial learning, to share the pregnancy of their own ideas or projects.

If you translate this post and publish it on my blog in English, nobody would know what I mean. The conversation is far beyond this. Paradoxically, although the posts are about very personal reflection and expression, the importance lies in how the blog as a node in a network. Then, the focus quickly moves to subject. In whatever we have in common and we can put in place to produce the change, said in a blog alone is not a dream.
